Despite the disappointment of not heading to Colorado for the Pikes Peak Marathon, it has been a good week for me. I’m excited to share that I now have two remarkable partners to support my Small Change initiative efforts.
What’s Small Change? It’s an initiative I founded a year ago to give back to our race and adventure cities. I’m extremely honored that Molte Wellness & Adventure and Big Lake Events are joining me to increase awareness of and encourage involvement with Small Change.
Molte Wellness & Adventure offers trail running, hiking, yoga, and meditation retreats in the mountains of Montana. The retreats are a perfect blend of endurance, outdoor bliss, and mindfulness, and I can’t wait to experience one firsthand.
Big Lake Events annually hosts the Big Lake Half Marathon in Alton, New Hampshire. The picturesque course travels along Lake Winnipesaukee with spectacular views of the White Mountains. Runners enjoy the forested shoreline before arriving to finish on the Pier in Alton Bay. I may just have to break my “no pavement” rule for this one.
My new partners serve up everything I love—running, adventure, access to nature, and of course, a passion for giving back to our communities. As the partnerships unfold, I’ll have more to share, but for now I’m delighted to celebrate the progress I’ve made with Small Change and I can’t wait to connect with my partners about this important initiative.
If you are a race director or adventure outfitter and want to partner, please contact me. Together, our Small Change can add up to something good for communities.
