I’m sure you’ve been waiting; after all, poop is serious business. Last Thursday I launched my Pooch Poop Prize Package giveaway. The contest was inspired by seeing one too many orphan poop bags on the trail.
I had fifteen entries from pooch owners just pawing to win smart product solutions from Turdlebag, The Fifth Paw, and Flush Doggy—products that simplify carrying and picking up a dog’s doggy mess. Entering was easier than choosing a dog’s name – the point of entry was to tell me why you wanted to win this pooch poop prize package. While all of the entries were very doggy-licious (sorry, I can’t help myself), a few of my favorites included:
- Whew! I’m so glad your contest doesn’t require taking a picture of your beloved fur kid’s poop bag while on the trail. I barely have enough free fingers to hold her leash and tie the bag of poop to it! Thanks for your work to get those orphaned poop bags into trashy homes. It *is* really disappointing and upsetting to see poop bags left all over the place.
- I would love to win the contest because we don’t have a lot of garbage cans where I walk my sweeties. It would be great for them to carry their own poo so I can have at least one hand free.
Lucas deserves it, cause we always have long walks and besides I pick up after him, we pick up trash we find on our way…it would be very nice and helpful to get the prize.
Well hi-deee ho! I always have poo bags with me when I take my Golden Retriever on walks. They are in a little container that is attached to her leash so I never forget. It’s very handy, however the container is not looking too swell because it got stepped on one too many times, and I have several rubber bands holding it together. It sure would be turdiffic to upgrade to a Turdlebag! And I love the idea of flushable bags!
My husband walks our Golden and our son’s Lab almost every day (gotta say “almost”…last week it was 2 degrees here and he missed his walk), and conscientiously picks up every poo! As a matter of fact, he’s been known to pick up other pup’s deposits, as well, good guy that he is. Thanks for putting out the word of the turd-le!
My family just got a new puppy and we are excited to participate in this contest! We are now negotiating all the poop landmines in our house since she is far from potty trained, but she is so smart it will only be another day or so before we will need poop bags for outside.
Of course, all entries were deserving of a win and fun to read, but there can only be one winner and I randomly selected Tonna Renee Barrie and her pooch, Daisy, who shared the following comment with me on Facebook:
“Sometimes she gets called triple-poop Daisy! We keep telling her if she gets it out all at once then we only have to use one bag but she thinks spreading it around is better. We would love to win the poop prize pack because a double and triple pooper gets expensive and sometimes a lot to carry!”
I appreciate all who took the time to enter my contest and share your story with me. It’s great to hear there’s so many loving dog parents out there and that I’m not the only one who steps in as an occasional poop bag fairy to help keep our trails and neighborhoods doody-free.
Thank you to Turdlebag, The Fifth Paw, and Flush Doggy for donating products and for helping encourage responsible dog owners everywhere.
