- Race: Race for the Roses
- Organization: Hill Country Ride for AIDS (supports 10 local AIDS organizations)
- Why I donated: I wanted to support my friend Nate who just moved to Austin, Texas. He jumps in with both feet; if I moved to a new city it would take me a while to fit in and figure things out. Not Nate—he immediately signs up to do the Hill Country Ride for AIDS, which supports 10 local AIDS organizations in the Austin area.

Hill Country Ride For Aids
The Hill Country Ride for AIDS is the largest fundraiser in central Texas for HIV/AIDS services. A family-friendly and festive bike ride through the beautiful hill country, the Ride raises funds that are given directly to ten local nonprofits who help those in our community affected by HIV/AIDS. In the past 16 years the Ride has raised over $7.5 million. The Ride has been voted “Best Ride” in Austin for two consecutive years and is a beloved community event with an amazingly loyal, supportive community following.
